可能會有些人心裡會有疑問，不是已經出到 7.10 了嗎？為什麼還有個 6.06.2 ？
因為 6.06 是 LTS（Long-Term Support） 的版本，server 版的支援 5年的更新（也就是可以更新到 2011年），desktop（到 2009年） 支援 3年的更新，過期了怎麼辦呢？就只能升級上去別的版本囉！不然就是等到下一個 8.04 LTS 的版本出來再升級。

原本用 6.06 的人，直接更新就可以了，但是 kernel 要另外更新，指令是：
sudo apt-get install linux-image-server
